June 13, 2015 – From Moab to Grand view point in Canyonlands national park
I wanted to be in Canyonland for the sunsrise, but that would be about 2 hours of riding away and I had to getup really early and pack, so I just got to see the sunset in the campsite itself.
There were lots of nice canyon scenery in the park, I could not stop taking pictures.
There is a famous dirt road in this park called Shafer trail, I was planning to ride through it, when I got here and saw it then I changed my mind as I was alone. But when I saw how many high clearance 4×4 are going there then I decided to do it. crazy idea!
It was tough but it was amazing experience, and great views.
I recorded video too, but that’s going to take time to prepare, for now here is a short video on youtube to see how it looks riding in there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TO3Od6eRSZc
Finally after some scary time and luckily accident free I got to the end.
From here is paved road to Moab with a very tall and long stone wall on the side of the road beside Colorado river.
After that ride, a nice lunch would be great, specially if it’s delicious.
continue toward camp site for tonight.
Finally camp site, it was not that great, but needed a place to sleep!
Day 7, 296km, 12 hours camp site to camp site.
